In response to the allegation by Seoul Semiconductor that “MEGAMAN^®” brand product infringes Seoul’s two LED patents

[Hong Kong, 25 June 2019] Seoul Semiconductor Co Ltd has announced in a press release on 4 June 2019 that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in Germany in the District Court of Düsseldorf against Leuchtstark Vertriebs GmbH, and alleged MEGAMAN^® brand lighting product infringes two of its LED patents.

Neonlite Distribution Limited, the brand owner of the MEGAMAN^® brand was never contacted by Seoul Semiconductor Co Ltd before the press release was announced. After reading the related court document we found an image of the product in question which was clearly not MEGAMAN^® brand and not supplied by Neonlite. Any allegation against such product has nothing to do with MEGAMAN^®.
