MEGAMAN^®’s PINO Batten and DINO Waterproof Batten Deliver Linear LED Brilliance

(Hong Kong – 24 Nov 2015) MEGAMAN^® has unveiled today two new LED batten series; PINO and the waterproof batten DINO, widening our offering of LED luminaires.

Indoor Lighting: PINO LED Batten

Made with tough polycarbonate materials, these two linear LED light series are stylish, extremely reliable and easy to install. Providing even distribution of light, PINO is an integrated LED batten available in 58 cm and 88 cm lengths as well as 11W and 17W versions. It. is designed with a high system luminous efficacy of up to 100lm/W, making it a true replacement for traditional T5 battens - ideal for use in display shelf lighting and cove lighting applications.

Seamless linking can be easily achieved with the unique extendable built-in connectors, which enable multiple connections for traditional T5 tube sized applications: 0.6m, 1.2m and 1.5m. There is also a 150mm patch cord to cater for angular connections. Other bundling accessories include a power cord, an angle joint and mounting clips.

Unlike the fluorescent T5 battens which usually have dark zones at either end of the tube during operation, PINO features a translucent end cap design that can eliminate these dark zones.

The truly integrated PINO LED batten is the perfect plug-and-play option, connecting up to 19 units measuring 11.4m in total or 12 units measuring 10.8m total. It is the ideal replacement for T5 tube applications ranging from shops and boutiques, display shelves, wall lighting, light troughs and offices.

Outdoor Lighting: DINO LED Waterproof Batten

Also launching today is the waterproof DINO series which has IP66 protection against water and dust, and IK08 for vandal resistance, designed to replace T5 and T8 waterproof battens for outdoor and indoor applications.

The DINO waterproof LED benefits from toolless installation and ease of cleaning and maintaining. The series is through wired so that it is perfect for use in car parks, warehouses, workshops, underground areas and more industrial applications.

Another smart feature of DINO is the availability of the passive infrared (PIR) sensor option. The PIR sensor is capable of sensing body movement - a key feature for providing security in car parks and some underground areas - dimming the output down to 10%, whilst still saving energy in power saving mode.
UV resistant and corrosion proof, the rated lamp life of all MEGAMAN^® DINO models is 50,000 hours, which makes it an exceptionally durable and long-lasting solution.
